  • A wedding*

I recently got to second shoot Scott and Holly's wedding.  It was so fun!  Such a small wedding but in a cool church!  They were originally going to get married in January but decided to move the wedding up and ended up planning it all in about a month.  Because of the small time frame, they decided to have a small mostly family wedding and then have a reception a few months down the line.

Ross has been in numerous friends wedding and was quite knowledgeable in how you put on boutonnieres

I love working with natural light or shooting outside-I'm definitely hot a fan of flash), but at 100+, I was only able to get a shot or two.

When Holly got to the end of the isle with her dad, the tears starting falling....

I love how her dad is trying his best not to cry.

  • Emily's shower and wedding*

It's well-known that Emily's favorite color is green, so it was no surprise that everything was decorated around that theme for the shower/wedding.

The wedding was so beautiful and packed out!
    Grace trying not to cry~

The nieces and nephews were so adorable!

    Charis was adorable!

  • I'm back from vacations*

You probably thought maybe this site was one of those xanga sites that just doesn't get updated and really is no more.....well I'm sorry you haven't heard from me for awhile.  I've been quite busy this summer with being gone a total of 7 1/2 weeks and when I have been home it's just been long enough to catch up before I leave again :)  Hopefully I'll be able to catch you up a bit.

Here's some pictures of a few of my sessions this summer....
Miss. Lexi and her brother Luke

Princesses love to dance even when you have to use imaginary people :)

Being a princess is hard work though and nap time is a necessity so they can keep going :)

Mr. Luke is such a happy kid!

He was such a ham for these pictures :)  I think more than anything he loves the one on one attention he gets when it's just him getting his picture taken :)

The picture in the back ground is of Luke and his parents when he was just a few weeks old.

He wasn't too happy about tummy time since he's one of those that would rather be moving and seeing more interesting things :)

I think I'm a bit crazy, but there's something about crying kids pictures...I just like them.

  • A friends baseball game*

For fun I shot D's (who I babysit once a week)  baseball game awhile back.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

    Up for bat...

    Stttrrriiikkee one.

And he's off to first base...

    And he's off to 2nd, 3rd and ...

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

    And slides into home...

Since I had on my new mega lens all the kids thought I was professional and they were going to be in the newspaper the next day.

after I took the above image the ref turned to me and said...did you get that?  you should enter it into the newspaper.

Another 2 all  the way home...

Their turn to chase the ball for awhile...

    D protecting 3rd base...

    intent on the job

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.  For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

  • Another wedding*

This time I thought I wasn't going to have my wide angle lens back in time since I'd sent it off to Canon.  I called Monday before I left on vacation to see when they would have it fixed and they said "it will take 5-7 business days, there's no way you could have it by Sat".  I did a quick little prayer and later on that week got an email that they had sent it.  By the time I got home Friday night Fedex had tried to deliver it twice.  Canon is so hard to work with.  I can never talk to a technition or get them to tell me what was wrong with it and how it got broken.  I'm left with the few words they write on the packing slip that go something like "'AP focus wouldn't focus right, fixed electronically".  So anyway, I was able to go pick it up and actually have it for the wedding on Sat.  Yay!  This wedding went a lot better than the last and all the equipment worked beautifully...it must have know I was only the second shooter :P

Due to security of the couple who got married I can't post pictures of them.

Any wedding that includes "Tiffany" has to be a good one :)

The guys for their bachelor party went to walmart and got socks and then drew numbers for which ones they had to wear

  • Wedding Bells are ringing*

I had the wonderful privilege of photographing Jamie and Aaron's wedding.  They were such a great couple to work with!  I haven't done too many weddings so I haven't gotten poses memorized and how everything works in the photography realm, but they were so patient anyway :)
    Enjoy!
